I've been leading Girl Scout troops for 10 years. I enjoy teaching girls of all ages outdoor, planning, and life skills. Being a troop leader has pushed me out of my comfort zone on many occasions and I'm thankful for all the great life experiences and memories made with my girls!

I have always had way too many pets. I do my best thinking walking my dogs in remote areas miles away from my cell phone. I foster kittens for my local animal shelter. I have a retirement home for rescued guinea pigs in my living room. Having pets to care for keeps me grounded and ensures I'm never bored!

I love listening to music and singing. I'll listen to anything, but my favorite genre is country for its harmony and relatability. Nothing beats a good road trip to see a singer-songwriter live in an intimate venue. My current favorite is the Castle Theater in Bloomington, IL.

I'm always discovering new places. I particularly like parks where I can hike and explore, lakes where I can swim, amusement parks where my kids can convince me to ride scary roller coasters, and well-designed urban spaces where I can walk to everything. My most recent trip took me through Phoenix and Sedona, AZ, the Grand Canyon's South Rim, and Monument Valley and Moab, UT.
